CASIO G-SHOCK Japan JULY JULY JULY 2017 New Released watches - first impression

It is time. Lets have a look on this all of them. Just in case you missed it, I also made a video as well covering all these I'm about to say.

Lets start with the Denim pattern series. When I first look at this, I was like 'oh', That not surprising. I can't find my way around on why they decided to released this same pattern again. We already got this similar released before back in 2015 though in case you missed it.

But now when I look at all of them again, I can now see the tiny difference that each of them have. Besides the older released DENIM already end their production so if you're fan of this released, this is your second chance at getting one I guess?

They did add one GA-100 and also the popular GA-700 series model into the collection though. That is something new. A one lot of people likes 700 series over the GA110 or even GA-100. I just notice the GA-700 indexes have similar color way to all the buttons on most vintage jean outfits though. Pretty cool touch. Same applies to the GA-100 series watch face as well.

The DW-5600 version looks almost similar at a glance but when you compared them side to side I believe this 2017 version seems better than 2016 version mostly because of the light blue display and also it looks cleaner as well.

Overall thoughts? I love to have a look at them but that about it. I don't think I'll be purchasing them to add into my collection at the moment. I get the idea, how Casio would relate themselves to this tough outfits material but I'm just not a big fan.

They will be released in Japan alongside a matching set of Baby-G models. Yeah, its almost like a couple set; somewhere in the middle or at the end of this month.

MOVING ON to the next model which is the MTG

This is just an addition to already existed generic released Metal Twisted G-Shock Category actually. Prior to this, we only have two options from the MTG-S-1000D family which is the all silver or the red and silver. All of them priced the same which 95,000yen + tax and that to me is a good news if you're a fan of this model. If this is indeed will be a generic released, then I believed this newly added gold model will be a very easy to get color way as well.

I'm not a big fan of this as well because I have super skinny wrist. I can pull off a big resin watch like my Gulfmaster though but when we're talking about full steel watch, I don't think I'm up to it. This new model indeed looks more expensive than the others in my opinion.

Secret video for GST-200RGB model

Talking about steel watches, we also will be getting another full steel G-Shock from G-Steel family. Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe this is the first G-Steel Collaboration model that is out there right? I didn't follow the news when it is about G-Steel. Not a big fan for same reason as why I'm not liking the MTG. I like to have a look at them, hold them, or keep them in possession but I can't see myself wearing one without feeling awkward.

This Robert Geller collaboration watch is pretty cool in my opinion for its simplicity. Instead of adding printed colors on a watch like most collab models, this model just comes with simple black with little gold and purple. This is way better than all G-Steel released I believe especially from the 200 series line-up.

I'm not sure why Casio didn't listed in here but there are other G-Steel model that wasn't been released in Japan like these guys but still none of them look like this special collaboration model.

However, as much as I am liking them, all of these steel model probably haven't grow in me yet I believe and that why I holding myself back from purchasing or reviewing as much as you guys had been requesting and also because I'm running out of funds.

To summarize all things up, I believe my favorite model out of all would be the GST-200RGB Robert Geller collab model only. I was actually hoping they made this collab on the new MINI G-Steel instead though, I'll be all over this if they did.

G-Shock GW-9301K-6JR Mudman Earthwatch 2013

This is some of the infos I know about the Earthwatch model,

As we all know, G-Shock / Baby-G had been collaborating with a lots of peoples and organization  since the 90's, hence once again this time, they show their support of mother nature and this collaboration model was born.

Under the theme of "Love The Sea And The Earth", these G-Shock and Baby-G models support Earthwatch, an international engages people worldwide in scientific field research and education to promote the understanding and action necessary for a sustainable environment.

The main motto is "Change the World, yourself" is really direct and this collaboration didn't just gives us an amazing piece, it allow us to contribute to our nature by supporting scientist around the world to find solutions for a sustainable future.

Earthwatch will fund critical scientific research projects on climate change oceans, ecosystem and cultural heritage. Citizen volunteers contribute by taking part in field surveys both in Japan and abroad. The experience of a lifetime. Earthwatch Japan recruit volunteers who donate time and energy by joining an expedition around the world and in locally Japan to a research or conservation project.

PROTECTION theme - Protecting life from global warming

Climate change is having an impact on plant and animal life by thawing of the permafrost in the Artic, intensifying droughts in Africa and damage to coral due to rising ocean temperatures. Earthwatch volunteers work together with scientist to measure the extent of permafrost melting to conduct dives and record coral conditions, to evaluate the effects of climate change and to contribute to research aimed at finding ways to reduce it.


SURVIVAL theme - An ecosystem for survival

Supplies of human food, timber, textiles, water, pharmaceuticals and other essential resources depend on an ecosystem that allows survival. Damage to the ecosystem, on the other hand, results in a sudden drop in resources until they are no longer available. In order to maintain a sustainable ecosystem that is essential to human life, Earthwatch is engaged in activities such as surveys aimed at balancing the needs for water among humans, livestock, and wildlife in Africa.


RETURN theme - Returning to a rich ocean environment

Oceans account for three-quarters of the Earth's surface and are the home of countless living organisms. However, organisms are disappearing mainly due to over fishing, pollution, development, and other human influences. Earthwatch is engaged, along with scientists, in the study of sea turtles and other endangered species, coastal ecosystems and more. These activities have successfully resulted in the conservation of sea turtles and other species.

This model come in a very colorful boxes and the look itself of this model is stunning. You can see the pictures below. This particular model was released in Japan in June 2013. The retail price of this model is 37,000Yen + tax. The market price for this model until now are roughly the same. So, if you are interested in owning this model, it is still available in some online websites. Good luck.

G-Shock Japan - July 2015 New Release models

G-Shock Japan just officially released all the new models that will be released this July in Japan. I'll summarize them all in this blog post.

There will be 4 series incoming this July and that is, the new color Metallic series, new pattern Camouflage series, the classic G-Steel series and one new MTG model.

In that series order, this will be the new color for the incoming big case Metallic series model. These special released models will of course comes in metallic or glossy band and bezel that was expected to fulfill the summer fashion look. Everything was made with a one tone color look with a slight details like the white point arrows and silver index. These model also comes with a jelly/skeleton watch band keeper.

Next we have the another special models from the big case series, the GD-X6900 Camouflage series. These model was made exactly as United States Defense Standard specifications and all of them pass the military test. These model have their own special theme depends on it's color. However in general, it is made to fulfill casual fashion wear, everything from the bezel to the watch face have had been fully printed according to their own theme. In order, these are the them of each special models:

Then we have classic model that have been re-released in a new double layered guard protection technology, there will be the G-Steel models. This models comes in 3 different colorways. The bezel of this model was made with a steel metal on top and and a fine resin just below it, they manage to make a new way of watch engine protection mechanism which you know it will brings a lot more possibilities in designing models from this series. I'm guessing they will make a colorful steel watch later on. The other parts of the watch was made in stainless steel and including the face. The arrow of this watch was made with a bright color and it will come with double LED light functions. It is also a Multiband 6 model and also have the tough solar function built in.These basic models will retails at 42,000 Yen without tax.

Finally they will be a new MTG model that was specially made by Casio new steel processing technology called the "Aged Process" where they could literally made the steel to look like it was aged for years. The idea for this new look comes from the men's image of vintage items like oil lighter, classic cars & bike mechanic tools. This is one of the image of a item that could last for years from it tough design. We can see the aged pattern mostly on the watch band. With this new tough spirit, this new MT-G model was born. It comes with a core guard structure, layer composite band, triple G-resistance, while also have the multiband function and tough solar being built in. This special model will retail at 145,000Yen without tax.

G-Shock GWF-1000-1JF Basic Frogman

Hi, everyone. Time for more Frogman model from Casio G-Shock. I'm referring to the basic model which is the

GWF-1000-1JF

as known as the the basic frogman. This model are also from the GWF family which stands for:

G = G-Shock
W = Waveceptor
F = Frogman.

It is really cool naming system that Casio had invented for their G-Shock watches. They released this piece in two separate type of the same model. The other version of this would be the GF-1000-1 model. As you can tell from the model number, there is no "W" letter in there which translate to that this other version won't going to have a "waveceptor" function built into the electronics.

A wave-ceptor is a technology that Casio had integrated into some of their middle and high end model that allow these watches to receives time-synchronization wave signal to make sure an accurate time-keeping capabilities every single day.

"Never missed a second"- GHF

There are not much to say about this model but as a basic model, is is being produces a lot by Casio since it was first released due to it's versatility and of course it's popularity.

I filmed all these way back while I was living in Japan. It is really fun and daring feels even when I had been doing it for plenty of times. This video is pretty old while I still barely know much about G-Shock. I;m still learning even up until to this day. 😀

Like any other model from Casio g-shock, every basic model of each family will be made to be in black. Hence, this large frogman model can't be excluded as well.

Looking at the design of it, all was made in matte black color; with some matte dial printed words on it. All was made from resin material including it's band keeper.

It also comes with a positive display screen surrounded with a solar panel around it for it's tough solar function; that a special term for solar cell equipped G-Shock

The side pieces and buckle was made from steel and this model has a cased back plate that was made out of stainless steel that had gone through a process called DLC (Diamond-Liked-Coating). This is crucial to make sure the case is tough enough to withstand high underwater pressure onto this watch for divers.

The retail price of this model is 68,000¥ + tax. which I thought to be fairly affordable considering what this model have to offer to you guys. 

To me, as an individual with a small wrist, this model couldn't fit that well but I'm able to rock them with the right outfit. Usually long sleeves shirt or just plain sweater.

G-Shock GWF-1000NV-2JF Men in Navy Blue

Hi again everyone. Gosh, I got a lot of posts to catch up with my video. I got tons more incoming to share with all

of you guys. 

As I mention on the title, it is time for one more review on the Master of G series, the Frogman.

This specific model of frogman however by far the most collectible items of all frogman. I'll be reviewing the model

GWF-1000NV-2JF . Men In Navy Blue series

this model was released all over japan and so as worldwide. The GWF model was released in Japan and few other countries that have Atomic time keeping tower while the places that couldn't receive the time wave, Casio had made a same model but without the multiband 6 function that is the GF model.

Gwf-1000NV-2jf & Gf-1000NV-2jR

both if these has the exact same look except one has more function than the other. Of course, the GWF is more famous than the GF model.

Simple as it is, this model is basically the same like any other GWF-1000 model that was released beforehand. The easiest way to say it is that this model is just a new colourway of the same

model. It's band and bezel was made in navy blue colour same as it's theme.

The back plate was made out of titanium to gives a lot more toughness look to it. Every code and the famous Frogman logo was also being engraved on it. This watch's sidepiece, buckle & band keeper however was made out of silver steel which to me kinda like a downside to this model. They should have made in the same titanium black material. Just my personal opinion.

Looking in the face of the watch, casio made a good choice of making 'the eye' to be in red. That alone makes this model stands out even more.

The price of this model is pretty high actually, but comparing from what it's worth, it is still considerably fine.

68,000¥ + tax. The market price of this model was never dissapointing. Everyone should at least have one of this type of model in their collections. Even if they're huge yet they will surely makes your collections appear more majestic than ever.

G-Shock GF-8250CM-2JR Men In Camouflage series limited edtion

Hi everyone, this time I'll be reviewing on the other model from the Master of G series, the FROGMAN. Specifically the

GF-8250CM-2JR Men in Camouflage series.

As a model that was also released on G-Shock Japan website, It was expected to be sold at all retailer all over Japan. However, compared with other model from the same Men In Camouflage series, this particular model, this FROGMAN was sold out right after it was released!. Crazy!. This is mainly because all retailers will accept an earlier pre-order to any customer upon request. Thus, making this model couldn't even get on the display case at all official G-Shock stores in Japan. That is how famous a Frogman model is comparing with Rangeman and Mudman that is still available in stores until today. (15/4/15)

I got mine from an earlier pre-order slot from an Official stores around Tokyo, Japan. luck is on my side this time. Eventhough this model was quickly sort after, it's market in the re-seller's market, the price haven't raise yet. So, if you are thinking of getting this model, better do it while you still can.

Moving on to the details of the design. In my opinion, it is most likely to look the same like the previous navy blue series which was the Navy Military model, GF-8250ER-2JR (left). This is the closest model that I could think of. Eventhough, by comparing side to side, we could see that the shades are also differ from one another which is still nice. 

Focusing on this camouflage model again, The tint blue band and bezel with some words written on orange is pretty nice. I couldn't recall if we ever had an orange eye in a Frogman before. This is new.

The face is made with a normal positive display surrounded with solar panel which also being beautifully outlined with a shiny blue circle. This couldn't be found even on the ICERC model!

GF-8250CM-2JR Camo Frog

Looking at the band design, all the printed camouflaged pattern seems pretty edgy and random. Also as we are all aware of, this are not the latest design of current army camouflage which is The Digital design. But I gotta say, the printing technology that they use is really high quality one.

Now lets look at the main body. Everything was made with a stainless steel material. That is the buttons, screws, band keeper, buckle and also it's back plate. Everything has a glossy finish.

I do wonder why didn't Casio printed the camouflage design on this model's bezel as well like they did on other basic model. 100% inside and outside. But this model looks great the way it is already. No big deal. Here are some more picture randomly taken for this blog.
